Cyanotype Workshop - By

George Ferrandi

This workshop is a short introduction to the cyanotype process, an early photographic technique beloved for its luscious blue color.

We’ll be arranging herbs, flowers and other materials on paper that has been treated with safe chemicals making it sensitive to the light of the sun. Once your design is ready, we’ll take it outside and let the sun’s UV rays expose your image, creating a beautiful “blueprint” of your composition.

Bring flowers, grasses, herbs, leaves, and other plants from your garden, especially anything semi-translucent. Pine needles, leaves, dried flowers, small branches, and mosses will also print well.

No experience necessary.

When: 06/29/2020 12noon

Where: 363 Market St. Sunbury
